Puerto Aventuras/Cancun Wedding- Andrea + Jesus
"I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more"
You could hear the waves crashing in the background as Andrea walked down the aisle to Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years". She was walking down the aisle to meet her best friend, her lover, her protector, her everything. Jesus patiently waited for his beautiful and stunning bride to make her way towards him. In front of everyone that they loved and cared for, they became husband and wife on the beach of Puerto Aventuras near Cancun, Mexico.
Part of the fun of getting married for Dre was choosing her dress and shoes. She's such a girly girl that everything surrounding her wedding day was glamorous and beautiful, just like her soul!
Dre's dress by Stella York from Bliss Bridal in West Fort Worth accentuated her figure and she looked stunning!!!
Getting married wasn't on their radar for a while until their kids began to ask for a wedding. With their kids being so important to them, they wanted to make things official for them as well as include them into their wedding. The maid of honor was their beautiful daughter, A, and the best man was none other than their son, C. Making things official for their kids and setting everything in stone would also make things possible for them to celebrate milestone anniversaries as husband and wife.
Their small and intimate wedding reception was held on a rooftop with views overlooking the ocean. The guests were able to take in the ocean breeze while dancing and singing with the newlyweds. One of Dre's most memorable moments from her wedding was being able to share some special moments with her father. He told her that she looked beautiful, which is a rare moment for her father who is the never-serious-and-always-funny guy.
On the other hand, Dre's mom was very affectionate with her daughter and even posed for some mother and daughter pictures with her.
One of my favorite moments from her party was when Jesus' mom sang and dedicated a song to her only son followed by a mother and son dance. It was one of those moments that just pulls at your heart strings. Beautiful. Intimate. Real.
There was so much love and emotion that night. Everyone had a great time celebrating, crying, and sharing some laughter in celebration of Andrea and Jesus' matrimony.
